THE COMEDY OF LIFE
“Give and it shall be given”—
You feed your soul.
But do you really do it,
Or you think you’re a fool?
“Love your neighbor, as yourself,”
You hear it everywhere,
When you don’t even smile at the lady
In the bus next to your chair!
“Redemption is near!”
You hear it on your radio.
Do you even bother to stop and think
When you die where will you go?
“Salvation, Salvation for everyone!”
Shouting in the streets as loud as they can.
You wonder Salvation from what,
Salvation from who?
Ahh, you think you’re still too young,
You still need to grow!
You work hard, you pay your bills;
You party when you have the chance!
Life is a-fleeting enjoy it as much as you can;
Your life is yours, so you thought—you don’t need anyone!
You’ve been hurt here and there. Heck, life is unfair;
You believe what you can, You do what you will!
Friends and Foes alike, you can’t trust them now a days,
You laugh the whole day, at night you look at your face!
Then one day you bent to tie your shoes,
Your back starts to strain, you thought you just need a boost!
Falling hairs, lines on your face, you’re getting tired,
Loneliness has sipped in through your heart and mind!
Still you say, Heck, what does it matter anyway,
Life is a-fleeting enjoy it as much as you can!
For maybe tomorrow or the next day you might be gone;
You’re happy to know that you lived and laughed—
You thought you were the envy of everyone!
You wake up gasping for air,
Life was leaving you—no more cheer,
None beside you, no one to share—
How you wish, she was there, but you left her somewhere!
You start remembering while you’re clinging on a thread,
Did she say we had a SON, you wonder where would He be?
What kind of life he’s leading now,
God, let him be safe you hope and pray!
Then you started mumbling something,
You can’t figure out what?
Only your mind knows, only your heart feels
Cause that’s all you got!
You sucked more air, you trembled in fear,
A drop of tear fell from a dry eye as well!
You see darkness enveloping you
From the corner of the room,
Your fist was gripping tight on the bar of your bed,
Black shadows dancing like ghosts with eerie moves,
A cold wind blows from nowhere
Showing petals from a black rose!
The blackness started suffocating you,
You grasp for air but you might as well let go!
You’re still scared, you’re still hanging on—
Your mind, your heart—
All your senses felt like it’s going to blow!
You draw your last breath—you draw your last straw!
As the sun don’t lose it’s brightness,
As the moon gives it’s cool glow;
As the tiger prowls for it’s prey,
As the bees suck the nectar away.
As the baby clings for it’s mothers’ breast
As the leech greedily sucks the blood.
As the rain pours down on a dying desert
As the dry mouth thirst for cold water.
As far as your eyes can see,
As much as your ears can hear;
As deep as the sea could be
As cold as the snow would feel.
Love becomes a parody of life,
It laughs when it wants, it cut’s like a knife
Everybody want’s it, everybody feels it,
Everybody falls, everyone loathes it!
Men of honors, drunks that lies,
Ladies singing, whores that sighs;
Babies sleeping, children cries,
Plants that blossoms, trees that dies!
Walking endless, what’s your goal?
Sane heart and mind yet without soul
My creed buried in my hole
Sentiments bounces on a thick ole’ wall.
A home that hides me through the night
A room that I pour my deep respite;
A ceiling that stops my eyes from greed.
So much for you, so much for me,
So much for the guy next door from me;
So much for those weary souls
So much so for those endless walls
Songs to be sang, poets that grieves,
Hatred that cease, peace that still bleeds;
Ah, this broken yet wonderful soul
That lives in me just for the wals!
SO BE IT (AMEN)
I am silent, my heart is sealed; I hear nothing,
My eyes look passed you, you’re not there
I hold nothing, none from you not now, not ever
That’s what you want. So be it!
I am not far, nor near; none,
whatsoever for you to show;
I am not here, nor there; I am nowhere
That’s what you want. So be it!
I won’t have a mind, I won’t have a voice,
I don’t belong to me, I don’t belong to you;
I live in my shell, I sleep in my hole,
Yes, I have a life, but death is it’s goal.
Empty eyes stares back at me, why not?
Nobody knows how could you tell?
My mouth won’t speak, how would I share?
So be it! That’s what you want to hear.
I don’t know me, I don’t know you,
Hell, I don’t even know what I’m going through!
The wall looks good, the desk looks clear,
So be it! If that’s what you want to hear!
SHOULD WE START OVER
Would you give me ways to mend this broken wing
Show me the light to shine through all these wretched pain
Walking all these years I hardly see the truth
I’d like to to know if you can feel the cry of woe
Without the clouds you hardly see the the face of doubt
Those guilty heart & mind trying hard to do their best
To find a way through all these chaos and insanity
Hoping the obscured thruth will hide them through & through
Where do we begin, when do we give up
All these crazy fight. We don’t know what’s right
Try to hide my bloody hands. Try to hide my face
From all the cruelty that we all started anyway
